Student Success Story: Josie Wright competes in pageant in Bellevue

BELLEVUE – This summer, Josie Wright, the daughter of Jerry and Sally Wright of Long Beach, competed for the title of 2005 Miss Pre-Teen Washington American Co-ed. The pageant was held at the Bellevue Doubletree Hotel.

At the pageant she competed in several optional competitions – acting, speech and talent divisions. She was awarded first place in acting for performing a commercial for chocolate kisses. Along with the first place award, she got a plaque, certificate and $150. In addition, her speech on youth called “Purchasing a wonderful future” was rated as first runner-up. She won first runner-up for being most photogenic and third runner-up for her Miss Victory packet. She also was voted Miss Personality by her fellow contestants.

Finally, after being judged in the interview, evening wear (where she was escorted by Tyler Johnson) and introductions competitions, she received the title of fourth runner-up overall for the pageant.
