SOUTH BEND — These cases were concluded during the Feb. 20 and 27 felony dockets in Pacific County Superior Court.
Tia C. Storey, 29 — She was arrested by the Washington State Patrol on Feb. 12 after fleeing from a trooper on U.S. 101 northbound toward South Bend. The chase ultimately ended at the sallyport of the Pacific County Public Safety Building.
Storey was dragged out from the vehicle following a momentary standoff in which she revved her car’s engine and yelled at law enforcement.
She appeared for a preliminary hearing in Pacific County Superior Court on Feb. 13 where Judge Donald J. Richter ordered her to undergo a competency evaluation through the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS).
According to court documents, the evaluation was completed by a licensed psychologist on Feb. 23. Storey was diagnosed with unspecified schizophrenia, other psychotic disorder and cannabis use disorder.
She was determined not to be competent and needed restoration services. The court ordered on March 3 for her to undergo inpatient restoration services at Western State Hospital, which is operated by DSHS.
William A. Forsmark, 68 — He pleaded guilty on Jan. 30 to second-degree assault and third-degree assault for a knife-related incident at the Hungry Heifer in Raymond on March 22, 2025. He was sentenced to 17 months in prison and 18 months of community custody.
According to court documents, Hungry Heifer is seeking restitution related to the incident for the cleaning of the restaurant. During the incident, a portion became a bloody mess and required extensive cleaning.
Hungry Heifer is requesting $2,149 to recoup the costs of hiring A-1 Custom Cleaning Services to clean up the mess, which required deep sanitation. The restitution motion is scheduled to be heard on March 20.
