Animal Shelter Report: Come meet a darling Echo and adorable tabbies

Sweet Echo
Sometimes the sweetest dogs are the quiet surprises — and that’s exactly who Echo is.
At just three years old, this darling terrier mix has only been with us for a few weeks, but she has already made herself right at home in our hearts. Echo is a bright, happy little girl who greets each day — and each new friend — with enthusiasm and a wagging tail.
In playgroups, she does something that perfectly captures her personality: she hops right up onto the bench beside you, presses in close, and settles down for a snuggle. Echo is a true lap dog. She adores sitting in your lap, offering gentle little kisses, and soaking up every bit of affection she can.
Echo gets along beautifully with other dogs and has been polite and well-mannered with everyone she’s met. She’s treat-motivated and eager to learn, already showing off new accomplishments—like confidently going up and down a ramp for the very first time. She enjoys exploring, walks nicely on leash, and approaches the world with curious confidence and joy.
One volunteer put it best: “If I didn’t already have two dogs, I’d scoop her up immediately.”
Echo is affectionate, energetic, and ready to bond deeply with her person. She is ready for her forever home where she can be someone’s constant companion.
If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow, a snuggle buddy, and your next best friend, Echo just might be waiting for you.
Terrific tabbies!
We’re not even in the thick of kitten season yet, and somehow, we already have a bundle of bright-eyed, bouncy tabbies ready to charm their way into their forever homes.
Striped, spunky, and seriously sweet, each little whiskered wonder brings their own dash of mischief and a whole lot of heart.
They tumble, they tussle, they purr like little engines, and honestly, watching two grow up together is twice the fun. Built-in best friends mean better social skills, shared snuggles, and double the entertainment for you.
If your home could use a pair of playful paws and synchronized zoomies, now’s the perfect time. Come meet these marvelous mini house-tigers and pick your perfect pair!
If you are looking for a new best friend (cat or dog) you can see all our available animals and fill out an application at www.beachpets.com/adopt.
Looking for volunteers!
Have about four hours to spare? We could really use an extra set of hands at the front desk. Friendly faces make all the difference when adopters walk through our doors.
Only have an hour or two? Perfect. Our dogs would love a walking buddy — they definitely don’t leash themselves! A quick stroll helps burn energy and keeps tails wagging.
Just want to pop in when you can? Our cats are always accepting applications for lap warmers and chin-scratchers. Cat cuddlers are endlessly appreciated (and frequently rewarded with purrs).
Whether you’re a people person, a dog walker, or a champion snuggler, there’s a spot for you here. Come spend a little time — it means the world to our adoptable animals!
