Animal Shelter Report: Meet Moose, our longest-stay foster dog!

Last week you met our longest-stay shelter dog, Bernie. Now meet Moose, our longest-stay foster dog. Moose has been in his loving foster home for almost two years!
A senior at just over nine years old, Moose is the perfect blend of calm and playful. He delights in life’s simple pleasures: belly rubs, tasty treats, leisurely walks and rolling happily in the grass — when there’s sun to soak in! He’ll gladly chase a ball around the yard and then curl up for some well-earned snuggles.
A true people-lover, Moose currently shares his foster home with two children whom he absolutely adores. This makes him a wonderful family companion. His gentle, affectionate nature and striking good looks have made him a favorite with everyone he meets.
Moose is hoping to find a home where he can be the only dog, allowing him to soak up all the love and attention. He also needs a cat-free home. With his wagging tail, kind eyes and big heart, Moose is ready to bring joy, comfort and companionship to his forever family.
While Moose’s foster family has been absolutely amazing and given him love, stability and comfort, he has now been with them for nearly two years. This is far longer than anyone ever expected! Foster care is meant to be a temporary, not a final destination.
As grateful as we are for the dedication of his foster family, Moose truly needs a permanent home of his own where he can finally settle in and know that he belongs for good. Could you be the one to give Moose the happy ending he’s been dreaming of?
Meet Marble
Ever meet a cat who quietly steals your heart without even trying? That’s Marble. This handsome tuxedo boy is on the softer side, happiest when things are calm and cozy. His spotted little nose and extra-toed front paws (yes, he’s got bonus toes!) make him extra charming, but it’s his gentle nature that really stands out.
Marble loves snuggling in his bed with his kitty friends, batting around his crinkle ball and soaking up attention from friendly visitors. Brushing sessions are a big win in his book, and he leans right into pets once he knows you’re there for him.
Marble would thrive in a home looking for a low-key, affectionate companion, someone who appreciates the quiet moments just as much as the cuddly ones. He readily accepts new cats that come into the playroom where he lives, so he’s likely to do well in a home with other cats. Ready to let Marble into your life? Please fill out an application today!
