I’m writing to express my appreciation of the Chinook Observer. Getting local information is important to a community and the Observer is a vital informational link for Pacific County.

Do I agree with every article and editorial? Of course not. That’s what a newspaper is about. There have been a variety of contentious issues in the last few months and the Observer has made an honest effort to cover them in a balanced manner in spite of a small staff and the limitations of state laws concerning the sharing of personnel information.

I’m glad we continue to have a local newspaper — thank you!
