One injured in crash north of Raymond

A driver was injured in a crash on U.S. 101 at milepost 67 north of Raymond on Wednesday, April 24 at about 8:47 p.m.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Kayla M. Kennedy, 32, of Raymond, was driving southbound on U.S. 101 in a 2013 Buick Encore when she over-corrected and went off the roadway.

The vehicle struck a tree and rolled onto its side.

Responders from the Raymond Fire Department, Pacific County Fire District No. 3 and Pacific County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene along with the Washington State Patrol.

Kennedy was wearing a seatbelt and was injured in the crash. She was transported by ambulance to Harbor Regional Health in Aberdeen.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
