Vote yes to support our students! Your yes vote to both important school levies for the Ocean Beach School District means you:

● Support educational programs, music programs, drama programs, sports programs, other activities;

● Support important technology, such as staff computer equipment and printers; student Chromebooks and device licenses; subscriptions to educational support programs and support/maintenance contracts; telecommunications systems; security cameras, related licensing, and maintenance and support contracts; internet and network infrastructure;

● Support teachers and educational staff; and

● Support increasing graduation rates and share responsibility for kids’ smart choices with their schedules, their extracurricular time, and thereby their futures.

As educators from this and other districts, we have taught many, many students who would otherwise not have come to school if it weren’t for their love of band, music, drama, sports, or other extracurricular opportunities. These important activities and educational programs are sometimes the glue for many students’ motivation to come to and remain in school. They look forward to their participation, their fellowship with other classmates and educational staff, and in many circumstances, their involvement with the community, such as a musical performance or sporting event. In order to participate in games and extracurricular programs, students must be caught up with their academic assignments. These vital programs are funded by levy monies.

Vote yes to ensure these programs remain and our kids continue to feel supported by their community.
