Letter: Support positive direction in Raymond schools

Dear Voters,

It is not a secret that The Raymond School District recently endured a very challenging period in its long history. After a much-needed transition, and under the guidance of a strong and caring leadership team, we are securely back on our feet and moving in a healthy direction. And, for that, we are excited about the future of the Raymond School District. Currently, community engagement and enrollment is on an encouraging upswing. Students are benefiting from academic programs that are centered around achievement, new opportunities and pathways to success, and career and technical education. Programs addressing student mental health, as well as bullying and suicide prevention are also an integral part of daily life in the Raymond School District. Also, the arts and numerous student-centered clubs, as well as our competitive sports programs are flourishing. Students and staff are continually exploring creative avenues that benefit all Seagulls from Pre-K to those looking forward to crossing the stage this spring, diplomas in hand. The Raymond family is coming together to see to it that its culture and climate are not only healthy now, but that it will continue to thrive in the years to come. The key to this forward momentum is the passing of the replacement levy that will be on your ballot in February. It is with gratitude and humility that we thank you for voting “YES” for Raymond Schools.

Sincerely, Raymond Education Association
