We want to thank the Ocean Beach Hospital & Medical Clinics Board of Commissioners for identifying capital projects to maintain facilities and improve access to quality health care in our community.

Our hospital is critical to ensuring local access to health care. We need more space to meet the growing demand for services. Many of our residents drive long distances to get basic or specialty care. Some forgo care altogether because they cannot travel. Everyone deserves quality health care close to home — whether they live in a city or a rural community like ours.
The board is considering a bond sometime in 2023 to fund capital projects to attract more specialty providers and services, such as orthopedics, dermatology, behavioral health, and diabetes care. We also need space for a nonprofit urgent care center for medical issues that do not require a costly visit to the emergency department.
We encourage you to learn more about the bond proposal at www.oceanbeachhospital.com.
