These two lab/Rottweiler mix puppies came to us as strays. Initially they were shy and hid, but thanks to our volunteers and staff, they have become outgoing, bouncy five-month-old puppies. While he may be a bit reserved compared to his brother, Indie is a quick learner and thrives, especially when treats are involved.

As is true with all puppies, this duo are a work in progress. They are learning leash walking and potty training, as well as simple commands like “sit” and “stay.” In order to reach their full potential, these pups will need loving families who can guide them with patience and positive reinforcement. Both of these pups will be great family companions, but will need a little patience until they get their full adult manners. As Pets of the Week, their adoption fees have been halved to just $75, and they are vetted and ready to bring energy and joy to their new families!

We would be very grateful to receive auction items

Soon we will be having the annual Beachpets Treasure Hunt, one of our most successful and important fundraisers. The Hunt is an online auction, and we are looking for items to feature for bids. We are looking for new items, collectables, vintage items in good condition, art work, and handmade crafts, including jewelry, and certificates for goods and services, including lodging.

To donate items for the auction, please follow our “easy peasy 3 steps”: Go online to our website beachpets.com and go to Events; access Beachpets Treasure Hunt; complete and submit an online donor form; attach and print a copy of your form, and drop your auction item off at Bold Gallery and coffee shop. Bold is located at 711 Pacific Avenue North in Long Beach. Please have donations to BOLD by Friday, Nov. 3.

If you have any questions about the auction, please call the shelter at 1-360-642-1180 during our open hours, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The Treasure Hunt starts on Nov. 10 at 12 p.m. and runs until Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. In the past, our wonderful supporters have donated some great auction items, and have been generous bidders. We are hoping for the same this year!

We are open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday by appointment only for adoptions and surrenders. Stray drop-off, spay/neuter vouchers and pet food program are available during open hours.
