July 10 — A Long Beach store employee reported that a homeless male was inside disturbing customers. The employee reported that he asked the male subject three times to leave and he would not. When an officer arrived the employee told him that he wanted the subject trespassed from the store, which the officer did. The subject requested a courtesy transport to Astoria and was provided with one.

Hospital staff reported there was a man with a gun inside the building. Three officers responded. Dispatch told officers en route that the man did not have the gun out, but would not let hospital staff leave the room and had a knife. When officers arrived, ER staff explained that the subject did not turn out to have a firearm but when he went back to have an MRI done, it appeared as if he had one. Staff explained he only had a pocket knife and a pistol magazine on him, with six rounds of .380 ACP ammo. The officer took the knife and magazine for safekeeping. The subject said bringing them was an accident and he would not do it again. Officers issued him a notice the items would be destroyed if not picked up within 30 days.

July 11 — A belligerent customer was reported at a Long Beach credit union, yelling and screaming at employees and everyone in there. He left before officers arrived, but was located and served an 86 form banning him from the premises.

A person came into the police station to report someone accessed her bank account and made a purchase online in the amount of $172.99 on July 10. It is unknown who did it.

Police responded to a missing person report at a Long Beach motel where he left all his belongings. “While investigating, discovered an unknown female claiming she was him and got new keys to the room.” An officer removed all personal property from the room and brought it back to the office. WSP Crime Lab responded to process the room for any evidence. Subject was later found in another state and was safe.

July 12 — A reporting party found two children, 2 and 3 years old, without parents. By the time an officer arrived, the parents had been located and the officer learned the two younger children went on a bike ride with an older child and got left behind. Parents were contacted to confirm everyone was safe.
