Now is an ideal time to adopt a cat or dog at the South Pacific County Humane Society Animal Shelter in Long Beach.

Our shelter is participating in the Bissell Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters adoption event. During the event, the adoption fees for our adult shelter dogs and cats ( 1-8 years old) are reduced to just $50 for dogs and $25 for cats. Our normal fees are $75-$300 for dogs and $55 for cats, so this event is a great chance to bring home a new pet at a reduced rate!

Event dates are Tuesday-Saturday, May 2-6, and Tuesday, May 9 through Saturday, May 13. Pre-approval of an adoption application is required before the adoption process is completed. We are open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday by appointment only for adoptions and surrenders. Stray drop-off, spay/neuter vouchers and pet food program are available during open hours.
