Sept. 26 — A Long Beach business reported their 20-foot flatbed trailer was stolen sometime between Rod Run and the time of the report. Police issued a BOLO (be on the lookout) for the trailer.

Sept. 27 — Eric G. Schichtel, 30, of Enumclaw, was cited for DUI after officers responded to a reported shoplift in downtown Long Beach.

Long Beach Post Office staff found burnt foils in the lobby along with a white powdery substance on the counter. There was also a disposable plastic tampon device in the trash recycle bin that was used to possibly smoke drugs with. An officer threw the foils away and used a disinfectant wipe to wipe up any powder. “They are having Hazmat come clean it the proper way once the postmaster arrives. Lobby will remain closed until it’s clean.”

A 15-year-old male was accused of assault after he allegedly threw rocks at two individuals after refusing to leave school. He “was making racial slurs toward other students and was forced to leave school and that made him upset. They did not want to press charges and just wanted it documented.”

Sept. 28 — A hit and run was reported by a driver who parked his 2004 Ford pickup in the marked loading zone in front of a Long Beach hotel. He was unloading his unoccupied vehicle when he observed a gray GMC pickup with a black canopy enter the parking lot and park in between two marked parking stalls. The vehicle was occupied by two adult male subjects. The vehicle then backed up and collided with the front right bumper and quarter panel of the Ford and then quickly departed the parking lot and proceeded northbound on Pacific Avenue at a high rate of speed. An officer conducted a check between Long Beach and Ocean Park for the vehicle but was unable to immediately locate it.

Amanda R Woods, 30, of Ocean Park, was cited for disorderly conduct at a Long Beach hotel after the on-duty manager requested LBPD respond to terminate the stay of the guests in a room for threatening another hotel guest. Responding officers were told about a noise complaint regarding guests in room A3 earlier in the night and suspected that someone had been fighting. Police contacted three adult female subjects and two adult male subjects who were standing on the sidewalk in front of the hotel. The females appeared to be consuming alcoholic beverages. The primary person responsible for the room was identified as Woods. After a brief discussion with group, they were advised that their stay had been terminated. Woods stated she walked up to the “wrong door by accident and admitted that she told the other guest to ‘eat her ass.’” Woods tossed her cigarette on the ground and threw her drink out onto the ground in the direction of the manager. Woods then entered the hotel room and continued being belligerent. An officer told Woods to lower her noise level and warned her about being disorderly. Woods began removing the sheets from the beds and tossed garbage and other items onto the floor. Woods then opened two alcoholic beverage cans and began swinging the cans around in an effort to make a mess in the room. Some of the alcoholic beverage hit an officer while he was standing in the doorway of the room. Woods also emptied a container of soda in the bathroom in an effort to leave the room in disarray. She was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct. After Woods was secured in the back seat of the patrol car, she began screaming and hitting her head on the partition. Woods claimed she was having an anxiety attack and could not breath.

Sept. 29 — Stephen E. Huitt, 57 and unhoused, faces a charge of first-degree burglary-domestic violence after an incident on Ocean Beach Boulevard North. A dispatcher was told by a female that Huitt pushed her to the ground and her knee hurt. When an officer arrived, she explained that Huitt had been there earlier in the day and then left after becoming angry. When he came back he was still angry and she did not want Huitt inside. He attempted to get in through the sliding glass door while she attempted to hold the door closed while telling Huitt to leave, but was not strong enough and Huitt forcefully entered the residence and pushed her the ground causing her pain in her left shoulder where he pushed her and in her right knee where she had a previous injury. Medix responded to the scene and evaluated her but she refused to be transported.

Police received a report of a five-year-old child on Discovery Trail by himself. A search of the trail and beach by police and state parks didn’t locate a child and there were no other reports regarding a missing child, so responding units eventually cleared the scene.
