Quit distorting the Second Amendment. The Second Amendment was written for one purpose and one purpose only: To give the people the right to defend themselves against a tyrannical government when it goes rogue and begins persecuting the people it was meant to serve.

My, how the millions of Russians killed by Stalin would have loved having something like the Second Amendment to protect them from being disarmed before the genocide.

There are those who scoff at the Constitution and adore government but ignore the growing government overreach.

They are blind to the FBI, the ATF and the IRS being used as weapons against political opponents.

They are blind to the bloated, corrupt, malignant behemoth the government has become as a result of straying so far from the Constitution.

They will never be capable of grasping the fact that the government wants the people disarmed because it plans on doing things that it can do only to a disarmed people.

These worshippers of government think the free country we grew up in still exists.
