I am writing to express my appreciation for the services provided by the Ocean Beach Hospital staff, particularly as we all struggled with the health emergency presented by covid. It is so important to have local health care, easily accessible and committed to the community. It is one of the reasons why I am writing to support the Ocean Beach Hospital bond on the Aug. 1 ballot.

In addition to supporting improvements to the facility to prepare it for any future public health emergencies, the bond will also support the development of an urgent care clinic to serve our community and in-home services to support our aging population.

The bond, at a cost of only about $68 a year (or $5.67 per month) on a $400,000 home is a valuable investment in local health care. Please join me in voting Yes on Aug. 1 for the Ocean Beach Hospital Bond.
