Your Letter
Type Your Letter I write this after being subjected to the misconduct, uneducated and opinionated care received at the Klipsan Beach Clinic. Still recovering from the way treated by a bully of a Nurse Practionier that is there.
Communities everywhere, ours especially so are being invaded by Nurses calling themselves Doctors. There is way too much saturation, over use of these Nurses playing Doc. Any sort of Nursing Degree should not have full reins as if a Medical Doctor. The idea scares me to death now. Its terrifying! They accrue more of a burden and expenses to patients and insurance companies. Its a fact they will have you take every test they can and even when the problem is obvious. People seeing these Nurses end up in ER more often costing in a lot of cases the tax payer and/or patient out of pocket expenses. The progression of an ailment will move faster then their tests. Being a Nurse Practionier is actually a totally different education model all together than a MD. They study Nursing, zero medical dialouge, no medical training, no residency. Their education and training is peanuts compared to MD. if essentially the same as a MD, then most would of saved time and money by just going to Nursing school. Only receiving 8% of the training hours of a real MD, along with a seriously dumbed down curriculum. There are not nor should be any shortcuts. A Nurse acting as a Dr is similar to playing “Russian Roulette”, its only a matter of time with same effects, irreversible. A Pharmacist is more capable to medical needs. The highest educated Nurse has a Phd in nursing. Its all administrative work, no medical. A nursing degree is achievable through on-line classes and the mail. A nurse always has been required to worked under the supervision of a real Dr. This should still be the case. Because I questioned a med she behind my back quit all my 8 prescription she had me on. Warning me never to go cold turkey on the meds, is exactly what she put me through. Seriously ill.
