My husband, (now deceased) and I moved permanently to the Peninsula in 1994. We chose to move our health care to Ocean Beach Hospital and Clinic. We/I have always felt we received quality care. I believe between the two of us we accessed every department in the hospital; including each of us being LifeFlighted when necessary.

The upcoming bond will help to fund additional services; especially urgent care. Also included is some very needed renovations to a 40-plus year old building, insure the continued upkeep of essential medical equipment, expansion of the Ilwaco Clinic and additional services in Ocean Park.

Previous letters plus the editorial in the Chinook Observer have broken down the cost of the bond to taxpayers. I will repeat that this bond will cost less that the just retired bond or $65 per year on a $400,000 home.

As a very senior citizen, I want to continue to have access to quality local health care here on the Peninsula.
