SEAVIEW — David Tellvik passed away on Oct. 20, 2024, in Seaview, Washington, at the age of 87. He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Julius “Joe” S. Tellvik and Elise Anita Anderson on March 6, 1937.
David and his family moved to Vashon Island, Washington, in 1944, and he graduated from Vashon High School with the Class of 1955. He married Nancy Key in 1959, and they later divorced. He lived in the Seattle area until retiring from the Boeing Company, Everett location, in 1992, after a 36-year career in drafting and management.
David married Sandra (Stone) Nelson, who grew up on the Peninsula, in 1993. After several years in Bothell, Washington, they moved to the Peninsula permanently in 1999.
David enjoyed the sport of curling for many years, and his team, based in Seattle, took first place in U.S. Nationals and second place in the World Competition in 1976. He also loved to ride his Harley Davidson, which he did for nearly 40 years. In later years, he enjoyed working on and repairing computers for friends and neighbors.
David is survived by his wife, Sandra Tellvik, of Seaview, Washington; son, Travis Foxx, of Seattle, Washington; stepson, Michael Nelson (Leslie), of Petaluma, California; and grandson, Christopher Foxx, and granddaughter, Catherine Foxx, both from Seattle, Washington.
He is preceded in death by his mother, in February 2005, and his father, in September 2010.
Per his request, no public service will be held. Private inurnment will be in Ocean Park Cemetery in Ocean Park, Washington.
