An open letter to the Ilwaco mayor:

On behalf of the City of Ilwaco’s Planning Commission, I am requesting that you and the Ilwaco City Council allow the planning commission to take part in the planning process for upcoming Ilwaco street repairs.

Ilwaco has recently won a grant of $1.425 million for street repairs and this was an agenda item announced to the city council at its previous meeting, as well as being covered in front page newspaper article in the Oct. 23 Chinook Observer.

What better way than to use the resources the city has in place already. Members of the Ilwaco Planning Commission see no reason why its commissioners would not be involved in this project.

I would hope that you and the Ilwaco City Council feel the same.
