- VANCOUVER Ñ Linda J. Steele, a resident of Long Beach, passed away from lung and brain cancer on April 16, 2004, at her daughterÕs home in Vancouver, with her family by her side.
VANCOUVER – Linda J. Steele, a resident of Long Beach, passed away from lung and brain cancer on April 16, 2004, at her daughter’s home in Vancouver, with her family by her side.

Ms. Steele was born May 8, 1951, to the late LaVern and Frances Kramer who both passed away in February 2004.
She loved living on the coast and enjoyed fishing, clamming and playing on the beach. She worked at The Breakers hotel in Long Beach until she became too ill to work.
Her children expressed their love, “Mom, you have always and will be forever loved and missed!”

Survivors include her daugher, Chrissie and husband Tony Mulcahey of Vancouver; son Rob and wife Christina Coons of Ocean Park; fiance Lester Spry of Long Beach; brother Mike Kramer and sister Margaret Ferguson, both of Vancouver; three grandsons and many other relatives.
A memorial service will be held on May 2 at 2 p.m. in Vancouver at Royce and Sandy Wetheimer’s home at 2501 NE 136th Street.
