NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, August 21, 2007, a Primary/Special Election will be held in Pacific County, State of Washington for the submission to the qualified voters the following:

REGULAR PROPERTY TAX LEVIES

FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES

Shall Pacific County Emergency Medical Services District No. 1 be authorized to impose regular property tax levies for fifty cents or less per thousand dollars of assessed valuation for each year consecutive for a permanent duration beginning in 2007 for collection in 2008 to provide emergency medical care and services within the District as provided by and in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington in RCW 84.52.069?

SUBMITTED BY THE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 5

Shall Fire District No. 5 levy upon the regular taxable property within the District, in addition to its regular levy the sum of $69,725 (approximately $1.04 per thousand of assessed valuation) for the year 2008 for the purpose of providing emergency medical care, ambulance services and elections expenses to its citizens?

Every registered voter in Pacific County will receive his or her ballot by mail for the August 21, 2007 Primary/Special Election. The ballots will be mailed out on August 1, 2007. Registered voters may mail or deposit their ballot at the Auditor’s office (South Bend or Long Beach) up to and including the day of the Election. The Auditor’s offices will be open on August 21, 2007, Election Day only, from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM to receive vote by mail ballots, also Election Day only Raymond High School, 1016 Commercial St., Raymond will be a drop off site for ballots. Any Ballots postmarked after the election will not be counted. The County Auditor’s offices are ADA compliant and registration and voting aids are available upon request.
