Long Beach Police DepartmentAt 10:15 a.m. on April 9, a local business owner in Long Beach reported catching a male urinating on the side of the business. The business owner had the man clean up his mess.

At 12:17 a.m. on April 11 in Culbertson Park noises could be heard coming from the skate park. Numerous youth were located on the property. All were issued warnings about being in the park after dark. Four of the youth, a 14-year-old male from Ilwaco, two 14-year-old males from Long Beach and a 14-year-old female from Long Beach were cited with minors in possession and/or consumption of alcohol. Charges will be sent to the Juvenile Department for further action.

At 2:20 p.m., a 14-year-old male from Ilwaco was charged with second-degree criminal trespass after he was found on property from which he has been “86’ed.”

At 7 p.m., a local business on Sid Snyder Drive and Pacific Highway reported kids throwing rocks at cars and buildings. An officer located the youth at a bus stop. An investigation revealed those who had actually thrown the rocks. They included a 14-year-old male from Ilwaco, a 16-year-old male from Ocean Park and a 16-year-old male from Ilwaco. All three will be charged with first-degree malicious mischief after it was ascertained that approximately $2,000 in damage was done to a Ford Explorer with rocks.

On April 14 at 8:23 a.m., an officer was dispatched to Ilwaco High School regarding a male student caught with a marijuana bong at Saturday school. A 16-year-old male from Ocean Park was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 3:30 p.m., David J. Prahl, age 45, from Long Beach was picked up on the boardwalk at Bolstad Avenue for a no bail felony warrant. He was booked into Pacific County Jail on the warrant.

On April 15 at 1:35 a.m., on Boulevard Avenue North in Long Beach, Julie E. Nave, age 24, from Issaquah was transported to Pacific County Jail and charged with domestic violence fourth-degree assault after she assault a “long-time friend.”

At 8:03 a.m., Brent D. Price, 53, from Ocean Park was cited for second-degree criminal trespass after being reported on private property.

Pacific County Sheriff’s OfficeOn April 16 at 10:48 p.m., Pacific County deputies responded to a burglary complaint where the suspect was being detained at the 27700 block of Sandridge Road. Deputies arrived and placed the suspect in handcuffs. After further investigations, Gerri Cowell, 24, of Rosburg, was arrested and booked into Pacific County Jail for residential burglary and fourth-degree assault. Earlier in the evening Cowell was alleged to have phoned the residence several times and made threats to the people at the home. The homeowner had a handgun and held the suspect until deputies arrived.
