LONG BEACH – The real estate markets in Southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon have changed over the last year. Many home owners and potential buyers have questions about the current market and financing options. One local bank is taking steps to help individuals better understand the uncertainty the market presents.
The Bank of the Pacific has a core value of teamwork. This teamwork is helping the community and its members. To help current and future homeowners understand home loan processes, receive a free credit report and advice, The Bank of the Pacific is presenting two full days of activities on June 16 and 17. The events, Real Estate Day, will be held on June 16 at the Long Beach branch located at 1007 South Pacific Highway. The second event will be held on June 17 at the Gearhart, Ore., branch located at 3410 Highway 101. Both days are full of information sessions to help individuals and they run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The June 16 day includes a special on site edition of the popular KAST 1370 AM show Coastwatch hosted by Tom Freel.
With changing interest rates many have questions about their current mortgages. Some wonder, “Is this the right time to refinance our adjustable rate mortgages?” First time home buyers want to learn what steps are necessary to be qualified for their first loan. Others want more information on financing options available today and a better understanding of what the future might hold. To answer these and other questions The Bank of the Pacific will have representatives available to meet with all interested individuals. People interested in receiving information are encouraged to stop by between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
A special free credit report, for the first 75 individuals, will help individuals learn their credit score and how they can improve their rating. Lorna Batt, vice president and residential loan officer, invites everyone to stop by the branch, “to visit with our staff about your financial needs and the dependable services we offer to help individuals make their home dreams become reality.”
The Bank of the Pacific employs over 220 employees, has over $550 million in assets with nineteen branch locations in Washington and Oregon. They are independently owned and locally operated.
