VANCOUVER – Wayne DeVaney Capps, 37, of Ocean Park, died suddenly in Vancouver on March 12, 2008. He was born Oct. 12, 1970, in Portland, to Donald and Linda (DeVaney) Capps. He grew up in Milwaukie, Ore., and graduated from Putnam High School and attended Clackamas Community College.

He was a stonemason by trade and talent and was extremely proud of this. He also fished commercially at one point. He played the guitar beautifully, his style ranging from classical to heavy metal. In addition he was a painter and illustrator.
Survivors include his mother and father; sister Wendy (Del) Murry; grandmother, Blanche Walbaum; partner Barbara Johnston; his son Adam Wayne; as well as his beloved extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service was held Saturday, March 15, at Penttila’s Chapel in Long Beach with burial following at Ilwaco Cemetery. The guest book may be signed at www.penttilaschapel.com.
