VANCOUVER – Alice J. Buck, 84, died Oct. 23, 2009, in Vancouver. She was born July 20, 1925, in Conrad, Mont.

For 55 years she resided in the same home in Spokane prior to moving to the Peninsula three years ago to be near family. In doing so she fulfilled her lifelong dream to reside by the ocean. She was a longtime employee of J.J. Newberry Co. in Spokane where she worked at the lunch counter.

Survivors include by her daughter Fran Miller of Ilwaco. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis and her son Michael.
