Obituaries: Donna V. Hubbard

CLASTKANIE – Donna V. Hubbard, 73, of Clatskanie, Ore., died peacefully on Sept. 24, 2009, with her family by her side. She was born May 11, 1936, in Ava, Mo., the daughter of Marion and Elga Duff.

She worked for the Rainier School District for 22 years, retiring as a cook at Briarcliff.

After her husband’s death, she spent most of her time in Ocean Park with her daughters.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Dora and Michael Cline, and Glenda Mullenix, all of Ocean Park; three grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer and Jeremy Mullenix, and their father, Ray Mullenix, all of Longview; four brothers, Dewey (Sandy) Duff of Ocean Park, Dennis (Jan) Duff of Arizona, Charles (Judy) Duff of Castle Rock and Doug (Teresa) Duff of Arkansas; two sisters, DeeAnn (Larry) Radach of Chehalis and Dell (John) Crosby of North Carolina; a brother-in-law, Lloyd Hubbard of Portland; many nieces and nephews; and she was a “honorary” grandmother to many. Her husband, Joseph C. Hubbard, her parents, and a brother, Kenneth Dale Duff preceded her in death.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Hospice Care Center, 1035 11th Ave, Longview, WA 98632.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Oct. 24 at 2 p.m., at the Pleasant Hill Grange.
