Engagement: Erik Ervest and Gerri Cowell to wed Feb. 28

ROSBURG – Erik Ervest and Gerri Cowell are happy to announce their engagement and upcoming nuptials.

Gerri is a 2001 graduate of Ilwaco High School and studied accounting at Lower Columbia College in Longview. She is the daughter of Bill and Kathy Hudkins of Long Beach.

Erik is a 1993 graduate of Naselle High School and received his certified welding license and 100 Ton Master license through Clatsop Community College in Astoria. The son of Carol and the late Gary Ervest of Deep River, Erik is employed as a crab fisherman in the winter and a charter boat captain in the summer.

They will be married at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28 at the Valley Bible Church in Rosburg. The couple invites friends and family to the reception for dinner and dancing at the Rosburg Hall starting at 5 p.m.

The couple plans to reside and build a new home on their property in Rosburg.
