ASTORIA Gwendolyn Gene Gwen Newton, 88, died Dec. 23, 2010, in Astoria. She was born Oct. 4, 1922, in Iowa. A memorial service is scheduled for Jan. 22 at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum.
