Hudson Greenfield of Chinook was a top winner in the Elks Hoop Shoot.

KELSO — Hudson Greenfield of Chinook was the winner of the 10- and 11-year-old boys SW Washington Elks Hoop Shoot free throw contest held in Kelso on Jan. 12. He made 19 out of 25 free throws.

Sophia Colombo, 9, was the winner of the girls competition hitting 12 out of 25. According to her Mom, Lisa Colombo, “nerves got the best of her and she got 1 out of 10, but then came back strong hitting 11 out of 15” to win.

Both students advance to the state finals held in Lacey on Feb. 9.
