ILWACO — Life Christian scored the last three goals for a 4-1 win over Ilwaco Wednesday, Oct. 23.

The teams traded early misses before Elysse Loyola put the Eagles (3-10 overall, 3-5 in league play) on the board.
After an Ilwaco scoring chance came up empty, the Eagles cleared the ball to midfield, where Loyola broke loose and scored, putting Life Christian up 1-0 in the seventh minute.
The Lady Fishermen (4-11, 1-7) continued threatening, regularly creating traffic and setting up plays right in front of the Life Christian goal, but the ball wouldn’t quite bounce their way. The only Ilwaco goal came when Justyce Patana broke away straight down the middle and scored to tie it in the 19th minute.

The Eagles went on the attack right after that goal, creating a one-on-one break. Sunny Kemmer tracked the play down and kicked the ball out of bounds. But the Eagles kept it in their end and Aleah Goodwin scored on a rebound in the 23rd minute, putting Life Christian up 2-1.
Loyola scored again in the 34th minute off an intercepted clear-out pass, and the Eagles led 3-1 going into halftime.
Abby Pierson capped the scoring with a goal in the 48th minute. Ilwaco continued creating threats that came up short.
The loss left Ilwaco tied with Toutle Lake for eighth place in the Pacific League heading into the final regular season game.

TOLEDO — The Indians shut out Ilwaco 5-0 on Monday, Oct. 21 to improve to 10-4 overall.
