OCEAN PARK — Thomas R. (Tony) Curtis, died June 3, 2020, in Ocean Park. He was born on March 29, 1939, in Longview, Wash., to Harold and Ruby Curtis.

He graduated from Ilwaco High School in 1959.

Tony served in the U.S. Army from 1960-63. He became a certified nursing assistant and worked in that occupation until he retired.

Tony played and taught accordion starting when he was 19. He also loved camping, fishing, hunting and his family time.

On Feb. 14, 1978, Tony married Frances Curtis. She survives him as do their two daughters, Melissa Purgold of Seale, Alabama and Tina Caldwell of Ilwaco; six grandchildren, Wayne Curtis, Charlie Caldwell, Devra Caldwell, Jeremiah Curtis, Joel Caldwell and Valerie Purgold; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

His parents, two brothers (Gene and Harold), grandson (Allan Thomas Caldwell) and a son-in-law, Charlie Caldwell preceded him in death.

A celebration of life will be held later at Peninsula Baptist Church in Ocean Park.
