NASELLE — Bella Colombo had 15 points, five steals and five assists and Kaylin Shrives swiped seven steals in Naselle’s 61-17 victory over Three Rivers Christian to close out the regular season Friday, Feb. 7. Lauren Katyryniuk led the Lady Comets with 19 points, and Jackie Steenerson added 12.

Katyryniuk had lay-ups on a pair of Colombo assists in the early moments, one off the opening tip and another on a fast break. Colombo then poked away a steal and fed Steenerson for a 6-0 lead. Steenerson and Shrives set the tone defensively by stuffing the Lady Eagles near the basket in the early going.

Naselle led 13-2 after a quarter and 29-8 at halftime.

Katyryniuk hit a three-pointer to start the third quarter, on her way to putting up 11 second-half points as the Lady Comets pulled further away. Naselle finished the regular season 10-8, including 5-1 in the Columbia Valley League.
