Stayin’ alive: Naselle knocks out Neah Bay in OT to punch ticket to Spokane

LONGVIEW — The Naselle Comets capped a dramatic double-digit comeback by knocking out Neah Bay 65-59 in overtime Saturday in the boys 1B regional matchup, punching their ticket to Spokane.

The Comets (14-8) battled the Red Devils (10-6) back-and-forth for four periods before reaching a 54-54 tie in regulation at Mark Morris High School. Naselle senior guard Jason Harman and junior Kolten Lindstrom powered a double-digit comeback and continued their offensive onslaught in the overtime period, scoring 9 of 10 Comet points to earn a hard-fought 65-59 victory. Harman finished with a game-high 26 points for Naselle, followed by Lindstrom with 21 points.

Up next: The Naselle Comets (14-8) advance to face the NW Yeshiva Lions (16-2) at 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 2 in Spokane.
