PUYALLUP — The Ilwaco Fishermen captured the Pacific 2B League championship Jan. 31 with a 75-66 win over Chief Leschi.

Leading the way for the IHS boys’ first league title since 2003 were Jaden Turner with 19 points, Becket Turner with 17, Kyle Morris with 15 and Sam Glenn with 11.

This Wednesday Ilwaco (15-1, 13-0 league) will host North Beach (9-9) for Senior Night starting at 7 p.m. From there, number one seeded IHS goes straight into the 2B District IV tournament this Saturday at home, time to be announced.
