County players honored for being good sports

Eleven Pacific County players have been honored by the WIAA for excellent sportsmanship.

All took part at the recent 1B/2B state basketball championships at the Spokane Arena.

Four players from Naselle earned medals. Girls honored were senior Echo Cenci and juniors Lauren Katyryniuk and Brynn Tarabochia.

“Good sports” from Willapa Valley boys’ squad were juniors Wil Clements and Riley Pearson.

Raymond players honored were junior Alia Enlow and seniors Izzy Silvernail and Grace Busenius.

Three of those honored played in only one game because their team was eliminated on the first day. They were senior Joey Strange, captain of the Naselle boys, senior Megan Leitz for Wahkiakum girls and junior Brooklynn Patrick from Willapa Valley girls.
