Community Spaghetti Feed in Chinook

CHINOOK — The Friends of Chinook School are holding a Community Spaghetti Feed, a food, fellowship, and community connection event, from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at the Chinook School Gym, 810 U.S. Highway 101. Dinner is by donation only, and all are welcome. For information, go to chinookschool.com.

Town hall will explore PCFD #1 EMS Levy

OCEAN PARK — On Feb. 2, at 4 p.m., Village Club will host a town hall to learn about the upcoming PCFD #1 EMS Levy. Fire Chief Jacob Brundage will give a presentation on the renewal of the 6-year levy and answer questions from the floor. The event is open to the public and will be held at the PCFD #1 Fire Hall, located at 26110 Ridge Ave, Ocean Park. Volunteers needed at His Supper Table 

LONG BEACH — Volunteers are needed to help wash pots and pans at the His Supper Table weekly meals program. The thrift store at 911 Pacific Ave., in Long Beach, serves free meals in takeout containers to community members between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. each Monday and Wednesday. Some days as many as 160 meals are distributed. People who can make a once a month volunteer commitment as a two-person team (for example, committing to cover the third Wednesday each month) are asked to phone and leave a message or text Ken Gambill of Long Beach at (360) 518-4636. No specific religious affiliation is needed. Hours are 3:45 to 5:30 p.m.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper about to flip

SEAVIEW — The Peninsula Church Center at 5000 N Place, in Seaview, which is home to three congregations, will host a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 17. No admission will be charged, but donations will be accepted for Momco, a nonprofit organization that encourages and equips mothers of young children to realize their potential. The menu will include ham, sausages and stacks of pancakes with trimmings. There will be pancake races and other activities.
