Driftwood and Daffodils show registration

ILWACO — Registration is underway for the Driftwood and Daffodils show at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum in Ilwaco. The third annual event will take place April 4 and 5. Registration forms are posted on the website at www.ColumbiaPacificHeritageMuseum.org. Entries can be dropped off 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 3. Ribbons will be awarded in multiple categories. Reservations are being taken for the Spring Daffodil Tea on April 5. Seatings will be offered at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Cost is $35 per person. Call the museum at (360) 642-3446 to reserve a seat. The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday.

‘Disaster!’ a musical by Peninsula Players

ILWACO — Tickets are on sale for “Disaster!” a musical by Peninsula Players being staged at the River City Playhouse, 127 Lake St., Ilwaco. Remaining performances are at 7 p.m. April 4-5, 11-12; 2 p.m. April 6 and 13. The play is a spoof of 1970s disaster movies and features music from the decade. Tickets are $25, from Okie’s Thriftway in Ocean Park, Bold Gallery in Long Beach and Ilwaco Cider Co., or at the door.

‘Government Gangsters’ showing in Ocean Park

Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum meeting

ILWACO — The Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum at 115 Lake St. SE in Ilwaco will hold its annual membership meeting at 2 p.m. April 12. There will be a brief update on museum activities. Local author Peter Marsh will speak about his book, “Liberty Factory: The Untold Story of Henry Kaiser’s Oregon Shipyards.”

AAUW hosts arts center director

LONG BEACH — The Long Beach Peninsula chapter of the American Association of University Women will hold its monthly meeting from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, April 12 at the Elks Lodge in Long Beach. Bereniece Jones-Centino, executive director of the Charlene Larsen Center for Performing Arts in Astoria, will talk about musical events and music learning opportunities for children.

Naselle River closed to fishing thru April 15

NASELLE — The Naselle River is closed to all fishing through April 15 from the Highway 101 Bridge to the North Fork as a conservation measure for protection of wild steelhead and to provide protection for steelhead during peak spawn timing and downstream kelt migration.

Registration underway for annual Hope Floats

LONG BEACH — Registration is underway for artists wishing to take part in the annual Hope Floats event that promotes mental health awareness and raises funds for the advocacy group Peace of Mind Pacific County. Artists should contact Nikki Fortuna at info@pompc.org for information and registration. Decorated floats will be displayed May 10 and 11 in downtown Long Beach with an online auction May 9-20.

Ilwaco Sports Boosters spring run

LONG BEACH — A 5K and 10K run are planned June 14 to raise funds through the Ilwaco Sports Boosters for Ilwaco schools’ cross country program. The runs will begin at the Bolstad beach approach and conclude with awards at 11:30 a.m. at Veterans Field. People who register by May 16 are guaranteed a T-shirt. Cost of $20. AlAnon meetings on Peninsula and Zoom

AlAnon Family Groups are open to any adult. The only requirement for membership is that there is a concern about problem drinking by a relative or friend.
