Grandpa’s shaving mug? Great Aunt Susie’s corset? The pitcher and basin that were in the guest bedroom at Grandma’s house when you were a kid? Pacific County History Forum participants are invited to bring a “treasure from our area’s past” to the April 2 gathering at the Oysterville Schoolhouse.

“Artifacts in common use by our forebears can give us a great deal of insight into their way of life — an interesting starting point for discussion and investigation,” says Debby Haliburton, forum organizer. “We’ll also be talking about the possibility of a field trip in May and asking for your ideas for next year’s sessions.”

The History Forum meets the first Wednesday of each month (September through May) from 10 a.m. until noon. Anyone interested in the history of our area is invited to attend. History Forums are free of charge and open to the public.
