One person is dead after being pulled out of a fire on Tamarack Street in North Cove on Feb. 20 at 11:30 a.m.

Emergency responders from the South Beach Regional Fire Authority rushed to the scene and quickly pulled out one individual and began lifesaving efforts. The efforts were unsuccessful, and the individual was pronounced deceased.

According to radio traffic, the Pacific County Sheriff’s Office and Shoalwater Bay Police Department spent most of the day and evening at the scene, along with a fire investigator.

It is unclear what caused the fire, and the individual’s identity has not been disclosed.
