Feb. 12 — An officer while patrolling found an unoccupied vehicle that had crashed into one of the cement planters on Bolstad Avenue.

Feb. 13 — A driver lost control of their vehicle in snow/ice and took out a power pole in the 1700 block of Pacific Avenue.

Feb. 14 — A broken window reported near Zurn Tattoo at 408 Pacific Ave. S. Business manager said she would try and get someone out to board it up. Officer put some tape on the outside to at least be able to tell if anyone goes in or exits the building from the damaged window.

Ilwaco port office called about a person in a wet suit swimming in the marina and going toward the channel. An officer asked if he looked like he was in distress, and port employees said he did not appear to be. The officer checked the area and was unable to locate. The Coast Guard was notified as well.

Feb. 15 — Officers helped resolve a dispute between an Ilwaco mother and son, in part thanks to a Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife officer offering to drive him to an AA meeting in Chinook.

A Shoreview Drive resident reported people messing with the chain across his property that was under construction. An officer located a person there and told him to stay off the property, and he said he would. It did not appear that any of the building materials had been messed with.

Feb. 16 — Possible domestic violence reported on Bolstad Avenue W. Caller said a male and female were fighting and the male had locked the female out of the room and she was going around wiggling other peoples’ doors. Both parties told the responding officer that nothing physical happened. The officer asked the female if she had anywhere else to stay, and she said her friend had a beach house. The officer gave her a courtesy transport there and helped her get inside.

Feb. 17 — Danny G. York, 50, of Ocean Park, was cited for hit and run of an unattended vehicle and for having an expired registration after a collision at 109 Pacific Ave. A witness to the accident said the male driver, later identified as York, got out of his vehicle and looked at the Subaru he sideswiped before going into a store. When he came back out, he drove away, but an officer spotted the vehicle elsewhere downtown. There was reportable damage to both vehicles.

Lacinda Cline, 51, of Long Beach, was spotted walking in Ilwaco and was issued citations for two separate cases of third-degree theft in connection with incidents earlier this year.

A drug and alcohol treatment facility reported they had a new patient who blew a .290 blood alcohol reading and then refused to continue with admission and walked out the door. An officer observed that the patient appeared to have trouble standing without assistance. After some discussion she agreed to be taken to the hospital.
