Letter: Glowing review for the Crab Pot
Published 2:17 pm Friday, February 14, 2025
My son was returning to his home in Eugene the next day after the Super Bowl and our entire family went to dinner at the Crab Pot in south Long Beach to celebrate.
We could not have been more satisfied. The ambiance was delightful; we sat in the lounge area in the back. It was warm and cozy, a wonderful gas stove, TV in the bar area, pool tables, poker table, and cards and games to pass the time. We all had cocktails, well made and reasonably priced.
We ordered clam chowder, crab wanton tacos, crab enchiladas, and seafood cazuela. Everything was delicious and priced extremely well. The crab was very fresh.
The reason I’m writing this letter to the people of the penisula is there weren’t many people there. I want the relatively new but experienced restaurateurs to be successful. I would say that is the best seafood menu and food of any restaurant on the peninsula. In fact, I haven’t had better seafood dishes in Astoria, Vancouver or Beaverton.
Please give this restaurant a try. You will not be sorry. We are looking forward to returning very soon.
