OCEAN PARK — An Ocean Park man is behind bars after the Pacific County Sheriff’s Office investigated an alleged trespass call on 272nd Street and W Street. The incident unfolded on Oct. 8, 2024, and charges were filed on Jan. 9.

The cabin owners reportedly told law enforcement that a neighbor called them the night before and stated people were living inside their cabin. After they arrived to check on their property, they learned someone was seen going in and out “all day.”

Deputy Cosmo Cozby responded to the call and determined that a vehicle in the driveway that did not belong to the property owners was registered to Aldo S. Glansbeck, 43. The man alleged that he and a woman had been staying there for months.

“Aldo stated [another man] had given them a key to the house and said they could stay there a month ago because [the owner] was sick,” Cozby states in court records. “He didn’t have any way to contact Randy. It was in his phone, but his phone is broken.”

According to court records, the owners stated they didn’t know “Randy” and that no one should have any keys to their cabin.

“[They] stated that they never gave anyone a spare key and absolutely never gave anyone permission to be in their cabin, nor does anyone else have permission or authority to do that,” Cozby states.

“[They] wanted me to arrest Aldo and [the woman] while also having them remove all of Aldo’s cars [and] stuff in the cabin. I explained I would not be able to arrest them and make them remove all their property at the same time. I asked which was most important to them, and they said that removing Aldo’s property was most important on that day,” Cozby added.

As Glansbeck and the woman removed items from the cabin, Cozby reportedly observed a broken door jam, suggesting forced entry. He also observed scratches on the frame, potentially from a screwdriver or “something similar” used to pry the door open.

The property owners also noted that several items were missing, including a cord of wood, an axe, a blanket, trail cameras, a pellet grill, a countertop cart, and a grill cover. The items were estimated to total approximately $1,643.01, while damage to the cabin was estimated at $3,949.

Glansbeck was arrested on Jan. 8 and booked into the Pacific County Jail at 5:34 p.m. and currently faces charges of residential burglary, second-degree malicious mischief, two counts of third-degree driving with a suspended license, and two counts of operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device.

According to court records, Glansbeck appeared for a preliminary hearing in Pacific County Superior Court on Jan. 9, and his bail was set at $50,000 by Judge Donald J. Richter. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 17.
