Dec. 2 — Cottage Bakery called to report a male subject harassing employees and wanting to start a fight. They did not know his name and said he left walking northbound. Officers located the subject at the post office and issued him an 86-form.
His Supper Table Thrift Store reported that the previous two nights a man had been sleeping in the enclosure behind their business. Extra patrols and a check of the area behind the thrift store were scheduled. They do not want him there, and he will likely be trespassed.
Dec. 3 — Hobo Junction reported someone was harassing her husband and was trying to break into their home. Moments later, the husband called and said the subjects had left heading north. One subject was intoxicated and thought that he was at a bar, got mad he was not able to buy a drink, then knocked an item off the fence. No damage was caused and the subjects were not trying to gain entry into the home/business. An officer was unable to locate them.
Dec. 4 — Someone stole a generator that was chained and locked on the Port of Ilwaco dredge boat that is currently moored near the boat launch. The generator was last seen on the boat the day before. The Dayton generator has a Briggs and Stratton engine and is valued at around $1,200.
Dec. 6 — At Port of Ilwaco, Lonie C. Davis, Jr. tied up his sailboat to the C Dock. An officer placed him under arrest for second-degree criminal trespass but the jail would not take him. The officer instead cited him and while he was in custody talked to the port. Port management said they were going to impound the boat and put it in their yard and destroy it on [Dec. 18], as they are now the boat’s legal owner. The officer transported the suspect to McDonald’s and got him refreshments, and then released him.
Dec. 7 — A citizen requested officer contact regarding the “explosions” last night. The officer let her know that police didn’t get any calls on them and was unsure what it was. She said she will call next time so an officer can check it out.
