Nov. 25 — An officer was dispatched to Hilltop School for a student who attacked another student and smelled of marijuana. The principal and assistant principal said the 13-year-old female jumped on the alleged victim over a water bottle taken from the Lost & Found that supposedly belonged to assailant. The assistant principal had to pull the assailant off the victim. A charge of fourth-degree assault was sent to juvenile authorities.

Officers responded to a citizen report of 10-15 people fighting or arguing in the pool at a Long Beach hotel. Upon arrival a male autistic child exited the pool area, crouched down on the sidewalk and began screaming. Multiple adults and children were present in the pool area and indicated the other two adults involved had returned to their room. The on-duty manager was present and appeared to have deescalated the situation prior to police arrival. Two adult female subjects identified themselves as victims. One female told an officer she had her hair pulled and the other female stated she was punched in the head. No visible signs of injury were present. The altercation ensued because the victim’s children were jumping in the pool in violation of the posted rules. Both females declined to press charges. Video showed the children jumping into the pool and an argument ensuing between the adults. The female adults initially appear to make physical contact with one another at the same time. The females continued to engage in a verbal altercation until one of the females pulled the hair of the female from the other room. The other parties told police they asked the children not to jump in the pool and an argument ensued, resulting in her hair getting pulled. They declined to press charges against the other guests. The manager spoke with the parties in private and decided not to terminate their stay.

Nov. 26 — Police received a call from the owners of an Ilwaco location regarding a male refusing to leave their property. Officers contacted a male sitting on concrete blocks next to the sidewalk. He said he just sat down to tie his shoe and was confronted and said he was on the easement so he didn’t have to move. An officer explained to him that he was not on the easement and asked for his name. He wouldn’t provide a last name, then went on explaining that he didn’t have to because the officer couldn’t make him since he wasn’t told he was trespassing already. The officer told him that he was trespassing; he got up and walked away.

Nov. 27 — Sometime the previous night someone smashed a large window that was being stored between buildings on the outside of His Supper Table. Bricks were used. Damage was also done to a drain gutter and to the wood frame on the door. There was approximately $250 in damage.

Nov. 29 — It was reported that a homeless subject was in the lobby of the Long Beach Post Office and had his belongings scattered all over. He was described as wearing a black hoodie and jeans. An officer took a look but didn’t see anyone.

Dec. 1 — A Long Beach resident returned Saturday and noticed someone entered her fenced backyard. The unknown person apparently stepped in her flower bed and ate a piece of pizza on her bench.
