Waldeck earns MVP honors; Mules recognized

Wahkiakum had several players honored in the 1B South Division’s annual all-league football listings. Senior Mason Waldeck was named the league’s most valuable defensive player.

Waldeck was also named as a running back on the first team, as well as junior Jayden Stoddard at quarterback, junior Camren Mendez on the offensive line, and juniors Parker Leitz and Gage Robinson at wide receiver.
Junior Preston West was named to the first-team defensive line, as well as Leitz as a defensive back and Stoddard as linebacker.
On the second team, junior Ethan Hurley was named to the offensive line, Mendez to the defensive line, Robinson as a defensive back and freshman Aiden Scott as a kicker.

Sophomore Israel Velke earned an honorable mention on the offensive line.
Wahkiakum dropped from 2B to play in the 1B small-schools division this season.
