OCEAN PARK — LifeFlight transported a woman from Ocean Beach Hospital to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver in serious condition after she was struck by a vehicle in Ocean Park last week.

The Pacific County Dispatch Center received a 911 call at 10:43 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, regarding a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision near Bay Avenue and 260th Place on State Route 103 in Ocean Park.

“The driver turned southbound from Bay Avenue onto SR 103 and was going toward Ocean Beach Elementary, and a pedestrian crossed from the northbound shoulder to the southbound and was struck,” Washington State Patrol Trooper Thomas D. Beck said.

The pedestrian, Robin G. Kesler, 68, of Seaview, was transported to OBH in serious condition and was then transported by LifeFlight to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.

“She is currently in the [Intensive Care Unit],” Beck said.

The driver in the incident, Raymond L. Bull, 77, of Ocean Park, is not facing any charges in the crash because Kesler was not in a crosswalk when she was struck.

“She just ran across the road, and we do not know why,” Beck said. “All the power was out prior to the crash, so all the cameras in the area were unable to get footage.”
