SMITH CREEK — The Raymond Fire Department responded to the scene of a house fire near the U.S. Highway 101-Smith Creek Road intersection about 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22.

Firefighting efforts temporarily impacted traffic in the area, but ordinary travel was soon restored.

There were no reported injuries in the fire’s immediate aftermath. The cause remains under investigation.
