If your skin is not white, or you are disabled, if you are dependent on social security and Medicare, or have a neighbor who is an immigrant, if you practice a religion other than Christianity, or you have a friend who is gay or transgender, and you have watched a granddaughter, daughter, sister, wife or mother just lose the freedom of choice over their own bodies — you need to be very concerned about the outcome of this election.

Under Project 2025, the 900-page Republican manifesto for an incoming Trump administration, dismantling protections for Americans is on the agenda. Sponsored by Republican billionaires, this plan carves out a radical vision for America that will reverse decades of civil rights legislation, destroy social safety nets, lower wages for workers, strangle constitutional protections, reverse climate protections, undermine the economy and reshape how our culture operates.

Recently, we learned that any American who challenges the supremacy of an incoming Republican administration, according to Donald Trump, will be deemed “vermin” and referred to as the “enemy within.” If you think the Constitution will protect you, good luck. Quaint. According to Donald, liable laws will be the first to be challenged in the courts. (He doesn’t like being called names.) His vengeance for even minor offenses will be Trump justice. Forget normal. Trump justice will look exactly like his first term in office: daily chaos and mayhem sprinkled with random acts of cruelty. And now that the Supreme Court has bestowed the job of president with full immunity for their actions, anything goes.

Billionaires are spending millions to convince you to vote for this dark GOP plan for your future. They have us squabbling over crumbs shared with other poor people while the rich gorge themselves on huge tax breaks and the spoils of our labor. Any attempt to make progressive change in this country is squashed under piles of GOP money. Face it, folks. We live in a plutocracy. A big win on November 5, could give these guys the keys to the kingdom for a long time.

If you believe in the Constitution and the equal protection of all Americans under the law, you must vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. We are a nation of immigrants governed by laws. Buying off judges and “making stuff up,” isn’t sportsmanship. Let’s play by the rules. To make government work better, all Americans need to participate. We need you.

For now, the immediate solution is to vote for democrats up and down the ballot. Republicans have work to do to reshape their party. Enough with this mean-spirited divisiveness and greed.
