- Knitting is just one of the fiber arts disciplines showcased in the classes at the Columbia Pacific Fiber Arts Association festival Nov. 9 and 10.
LONG BEACH — Registration is underway for classes at the Columbia Pacific Fiber Arts Association Festival. The event takes place 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 9 and 10 at Long Beach Elementary School, 400 Washington Ave., Long Beach. It is the third festival; others were held in 2019 and 2023.
• Knitting classes: Double Knitting Magic; Better Fitting Sweaters; Knitting Two-at-a-time Socks, Mittens or Gloves; Knitting a Hat In-The-Round; Yarn Substitutions; Crochet for Knitters; Triangle Shawls; Mitered Squares and Knitted Lace.
• Crochet classes: Mosaic; Beginning Amigurumi; Advanced Amigurumi; Granny Squares; and Crocheted Lace.
• Needle felting: Painting on Wool; Whimsical Jellie; and the Great Pumpkin Needle Felting.
• Spinning: “Expand Your Fiber Diet;” “Batt Outta Heaven;” “What’s In My Stash;” and “Hippies and the Establishment.”
