There are only two more Friday markets before the West Wahkiakum Farmers Market ends its 2024 season.

ROSBURG — There are just two more opportunities on Oct. 18 and 25, from 2-5 p.m. at the Johnson Park Community Center, to purchase needed items from West Wahkiakum Farmers Market vendors.

The market, sponsored by the Johnson Park Community Center and the Grays River Grange, started June 14 with vendors located on the first Friday of each month at the Grays River Grange, and at Johnson Park on the other Fridays.

Reports indicate 2024 has been a great first season for this new farmers market. Vendor turnout has been steady and the community has responded positively. Over the last four and a half months, the market has featured an abundance of produce, fruit, mushrooms, honey, ceramics, herbal remedies, jewelry, crafts, knitted goods, art, baked goods, jams, plants and flowers, wood crafts, yard ornaments, locally roasted coffee and other craft items.

Planners are already working on ways to make the West Wahkiakum Farmers Market an even larger staple in the community in 2025.
